Important Information
By enrolling your child at Children's World, you will have the opportunity to visit on Visitor's Day in August. Parent Orientation will take place as an evening event following that. We will do our best to ensure that your child's transition and separation are as smooth as possible.
-
The first month at school will be considered a probationary period. If either you or the school find that your needs are not being met, a two-week notice will be required from either party to withdraw your child from the school.
-
Each month, the director and teachers will send home a newsletter. We aim to maintain consistent communication with you through mail, email, phone calls, and messages, as well as daily notices posted on the doors of each room.
-
In the fall, you will receive a copy of our discipline policy, class address book, and school calendar. An assessment will be conducted for each child in October, and a Parent-Teacher conference will take place in February or sooner if necessary.
-
As we evaluate each child for developmental milestones, we may suggest or refer you to outside agencies for further evaluation if there is a perceived need for additional assessment. Parent education sessions will be offered throughout the year, in the mornings or evenings.
-
To address allergy and health concerns at our school, please ensure your child washes their hands in the bathroom before entering the classroom each morning.
Children Not Potty trained
If your child is not potty trained, you will need to provide pull-ups, gloves, and wipes, marked with the student's name, and give them to their teacher.
Bathroom Policy
A child needing a diaper change will be taken by their teacher to and from the bathroom. A child needing to use the potty will be escorted/watched by the aide/teacher, and when finished, they will be watched by the aide/teacher as they walk to their room.
Communication will be accomplished with walkie-talkies to their teacher in addition to being walked/watched visually.
