Tikvah Team
TBT’s Tikvah Team is ready to lend a helping hand. If you or a family member needs support, we’re eager to assist. Services may include rides to the temple, medical appointments, or grocery shopping; meal preparation or setting up a meal train; companionship for walks, card games, or reading; and help with computer tasks.
Social Action
Get involved with our Social Action Committee as we support the community through initiatives like laundry assistance, food pantry services, and medical supply closets. Together, we can create positive change and uplift those in need!
The Social Action Committee meets monthly on Zoom,
on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
Foodshare
In Ventura County, one in four people lives in a household experiencing food insecurity. We are collecting for Food Share throughout the year. You can place your donations in the SAC blue tub in the hallway.
Also, gently used clothing of all sizes can be placed in the SAC box located in the temple hallway.
Laundry Love
This project helps those in need with their laundry needs. Volunteers will be needed on the fourth Sunday of every month at Marina Wash and Dry between 2:00 and 5:00.
Medical Device Loan Closet
Congregants in temporary need of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, commodes, or shower chairs.
Moving in Project
We are collecting furniture and household items, including dishes and cleaning supplies—anything one would need when moving into a new apartment.
Our Place Safe Haven
Provides monthly dinner meals to assist the residents in Turning Point’s transitional living home. You can help by preparing/providing a dish for approximately 20 people.
Recycled Computers
Computers: If you or anyone you know needs a refurbished desktop computer, or you would like to recycle your old one.
