Support of Israel

We also fully support our brothers and sisters in Israel. Through our Israel in Our Hearts program, we have supported the war relief efforts in Israel by donations from our congregants to the Union for Reform Judaism. We have also “adopted” the Or Hadash congregation in Haifa which recently suffered Hezbollah bombardment.

TBT Bike-A-Thon – Tikkun Olam for Israel

If you like to ride a bike, walk, play low-impact games, enjoy a barbecue or just be with the TBT community for friendship and fun, plan to come to the TBT Bike-A-Thon at Foster Park in the Ojai Valley on Sunday, March 14, 2010, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. The Bike-A-Thon will raise visibility and funds for the Progressive (i.e., Reform) movement in Israel. This is an all-family event. Riders and walkers will raise money to support Riding4Reform,* a 5-day bike ride through Israel in March 2010. The funds raised from Riding4Reform will be used to promote Jewish ideals in Israel, which include a wide range of social, educational, cultural and community programs.
